Inspired by a true story, Mr. Talented is a one-take shot that follows a space-obsessed photographer whose life and sanity unravel as he tries to make a name for himself in the art world.
On June 16, 2015, a young black artist went on a vicious crime spree against Asian women that terrified an entire community in New York. Six Days later on June 22, Ty Shaw was found dead, hanging at the bottom of an elevator shaft, dressed in a silver spacesuit.
A year later, November 14, 2016. His blog “Mr. Talented” came back to life. A selfie appeared with the words “I feel incredible knowing that I will commit suicide before my 27th birthday and no one will ever know.” Ty had set up his blog to carry on posting from beyond the grave for the next 10 years.
